PORTFOLIO SERIES
Picnics
2021 | Oil on Canvas | 120 x 150 cm
Noam Zonshine’s Picnic series is inspired by old black and white photos of her grandparents and their friends from the Palmach (The underground army of the Jewish community) taken during the first years of the establishment of the state of Israel in the 1950s. The photos were taken during their trips and picnics, capturing the naïve atmosphere of the time.
Bed Series
2023-2025 | Gouash and acrilyc on paper
Bed is a painting series that emerged in the wake of the war that began in Israel on October 7, 2023. Centered on the bed as both a physical and emotional space, the works trace shifting states of fear, closeness, and waiting.
At times the bed appears empty; at others it holds the artist alongside her husband and son.
Sleepig Series
2019 | Majolica on tiles | 160 x 120 cm
Men Sleeping is a painting series Noam initiated in her graduation exhibition at Shenkar College of Engineering and Design and continuing to inform her practice today. The series depicts men asleep in public spaces, exploring the tension between confidence and vulnerability.
By focusing on moments of surrender and exposure, the works quietly question ideas of masculinity, intimacy, and power within the public sphere.
